Step 01
My first step was to decide a story, Character/environment/style development.
Story Synopsis
I chose to present a simple story of an alien bot named 'Spyd3r' who landed on the earth near a house. He entered the house by a window. There he finds a mirror on a table. At first he amuses himself by playing with the mirror and then he gets annoyed because he thinks that mirror is mocking/mimicking him.

Then I've to decide a character and the style. I start making the character in the photoshop. I did experiments on my bot with colors, eye designs etc. Finally I got my character. I was happy with my character. |

Step 02

Then I start modelling the character in Maya. I did some modification while modelling and added few more things like a leg hood and also changed the eye design. I textured my bot in Mari. I want hand painted texture so I chose to texture in Mari. I Textured it twice. At first I was unhappy with my textures and style, so I re-textured my bot.

Step 03
The final step was texturing and lighting the scene and compose a final look of my frame.
I used Mari again and I used renderman as my render engine. I wanted to make it realistic and Disney style. |
